There are so many incredible summer vacation places that you can experience in the country. Regardless if you live on the west coast, east coast or anywhere in between, there are sites and destinations for every budget that will build memories that will last a lifetime. Look into the surrounding region where you live to get a better idea of the places you can visit with your family. If your budget allows for you to fly somewhere, the opportunities are endless, but if you must drive to your vacation destination, plan wisely and make sure that the place you choose will be worth the long drive.
With school being out for summer, your kids are going to want to go and have some fun. After being cooped up inside of a classroom all year long, make sure you choose a vacation destination that will let them explore the outdoors with enough room to run and stretch their legs. Renting a house on a lake or beach is a great idea for families with older children. You have the water of the lake that will give you the opportunity to swim, boat and do other water sports plus the comforts of a cabin or lake house for the modern conveniences of home. Your children will spend hours outside building sandcastles or chasing fireflies, creating memories every minute of their vacation.
If a theme park vacation is your idea of fun, there are so many that you can choose from. Disneyland is the obvious number one choice for theme parks, but you will get the big crowds and emotional meltdowns with this park (not to mention an empty wallet when the visit is over). If a Disney trip just isn’t in the cards, try a Six Flags or Busch Gardens resort. For a theme park plus a sea life adventure, try visiting a Sea World. There is one on either coast, so there is a location close to you to enjoy incredible sea life, amazing shows and thrilling rides all in one.
